Výběrové řízení na vedoucí/ho Visiting Artists’ Studio (únor – červen 2026)
The Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Brno University of Technology (FFA BUT) has announced an open call for the academic position(s) on a full-time basis (max 1.0 FTE in total) of: Leading teacher(s) at the Visiting Artists’ Studio (February 2026 – June 2026).
Job Description:
The leading teacher(s) at the Visiting Artists’ Studio for the Summer semester 2025/2026 will lead weekly studio meetings (Wednesdays) and be available for individual consultations with students throughout the semester. They will implement the pedagogical approach they have proposed. In collaboration with the studio assistant, they will design the framework for final reviews and select members for the review committee. They will also actively participate in promoting the studio and planning, as well as attending potential excursions or field trips. It is also possible to apply for the position as a tandem or collective; in such cases, the remuneration will be divided accordingly.
Requirements:
- Fluency in English.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Teaching experience in the field of art.
- A proven track record in international artistic projects or contemporary art research.
- International recognition (e.g., awards, stipends, scholarships, residencies).
- A relevant pedagogical approach.
The Application Must Include:
- A structured CV with current contact information.
- A conceptual plan for teaching activities at the Visiting Artists' Studio.
- A detailed proposal of the semester-long teaching structure (which may also include a proposal for block teaching and a combination of in-person and online teaching; however, online teaching may comprise a maximum of 20% of the total teaching time).
