Abstrakt

The input deck of the VVER-1000 NPP was developed in the MELCOR2.2 environment in frame of Phase 3 of joint international Project No. TM02000039: “Examination and improvement of mitigation capabilities and strategies of operating PWRs and an APR series PWR against design extension conditions”. The MELCOR input deck consists of two standalone MELCOR models which are modified in a way to allow their coupling. The first model represents the primary and secondary circuit of the VVER-1000 reactor system and is referred as “MELETE”. The second model represents the containment of the VVER-1000 reactor system and is referred as “METECON”. The MELCOR model of VVER-1000 was developed in order to perform the safety analyses of severe accidents type DEC B based on experience gained during the development and validation of MELCOR models of the THAI facility, QUENCH facility and PHEBUS facility in frame of Phase 2 of TM02000039 Project.
