Facilities

In addition to access to the relevant training facility (studios, departments, faculty offices), which is arranged with the supervisor (or the head of the training facility), and the use of faculty-wide facilities (library, wood and metal workshops, bookbinding workshop, laminating and painting rooms, computer lab, video studio, sound studio, editing rooms, 3D studio, etc.), doctoral students have access to shared doctoral workrooms (room 109, U1 building, first floor on the right, equipped with a conference system and a high-performance computer running Mac OS and Windows, including printer, scanner, and tablet) and a doctoral studio (KH10, Areal BUT Kraví hora). The same rules for borrowing A/V equipment and reserving production spaces apply as for bachelor's and master's students. Additional benefits for doctoral students at the faculty (discounted phone plans, unlimited cloud services, access to university-wide software, including annual Adobe CC licenses, access to ICOM cards, etc.) can be found on the FFA Intranet. Students can also request consideration of specific needs (disabilities, mental illness, chronic physical illness, specific learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, communication disorders, etc.). These issues are handled by the BUT Counselling Centre Alfons. Parents can take advantage of the university's mini-nursery Edisonka and other counselling services.
