Since 2023, the Faculty of Fine Arts of Brno University of Technology (FFA) has run two programmes, FFA Post-mag and FFA Post-doc, which aim to support the entry of recent graduates into professional life while strengthening the faculty’s creative (artistic, research and innovation) activities. Both programmes create short-term positions (researcher or postdoctoral researcher), which are filled through annual open calls.

Types of Programme

The FFA offers two types of programme:

1. Post-mag (Post-master’s) Programme
   The call for artists is usually issued for four part-time positions for one or two semesters.* Eligible applicants are graduates of master’s programmes who will carry out a project that directly shapes or develops the focus of the chosen studio or department (see FFA Organigram). The nature of the collaboration with the chosen unit must be evident from the application and confirmed by a recommendation from at least one member of staff of that unit. 2. Post-doc (Postdoctoral) Programme
   The call for researchers is usually issued to fill two full-time positions for one year. Eligible applicants are doctoral graduates, preferably from an academic institution outside Czechia, who will carry out a project related to the activities of the faculty’s research units, such as the Research Centre.
