Position opening at FFA BUT: Academic Staff Position in the Product Design Studio, app. deadline 20 May 2026
The Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Brno University of Technology (FFA BUT) is offering an academic position (at the level corresponding to Assistant, or Assistant Professor under Czech academic regulations)* in the Product Design Studio, with an expected start date of September 2026. Within the studio, up to one full-time position (1.0 FTE) is available.
Job Description
- Cooperation in the pedagogical leadership of the studio and ensuring its operation,
- Providing feedback to students, including supervising and reviewing bachelor’s and master’s theses,
- Monitoring developments in the field of art education and integrating innovative techniques into teaching practice,
- Participating in the conception and direction of the studio within the Design study programme,
- Participation in the artistic and research activities of the faculty.
Requirements
- A university degree (minimum of a master’s degree),
- Proficiency in English at a communicative level,
- Organisational skills, excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team,
- Pedagogical skills and experience in the field of art and/or design.
