Operation of FFA Buildings during the Summer Holidays in the Academic Year 2025/2026
This Dean's Decision governs the operation of the FFA BUT and the operating hours of the faculty buildings during July and August in the academic year 2025/2026:
- This Decision allows FFA BUT students to access the studio spaces in which they study from 1 July to 31 August 2026 (inclusive) for study purposes, work on artistic projects, or completion of final projects in resit and alternative assessment periods.
- Stays in shared departmental workspaces and workshops are only permitted with written consent from the head of the relevant department or workshop, which is recorded at the FFA BUT gatehouse.
- Students are allowed to stay on the premises from 8:00 to 20:30 every day. Exceptions may be granted by the Dean, the Vice-Dean for Infrastructure, or the Faculty Bursar. Stays in faculty buildings are exclusively permitted for members of the FFA BUT academic community and participants of summer schools for the public.
- A list of faculty students and summer school participants entitled to enter is stored and updated at the FFA BUT gatehouse (Údolní 53/Úvoz 33).
- Students and employees are required to report their arrival and departure to the faculty gate service in building U1 or to the gatehouse on the BUT Kraví hora premises, respectively. The gate service has the right to verify students’ identities.
- Studio teachers are required to ensure that work which may only be carried out under the supervision of a teacher or technician is not performed in their absence.
- Students are further required, in particular, to lock studio rooms properly when leaving; close windows and switch off lights; not allow third parties who are not members of the faculty academic community to enter the buildings; not stay overnight on the premises; work with regard to their own safety; and ensure that, during stays outside standard operating hours, the premises are kept in good order and secured against damage.
- FFA BUT graduates may rent studio spaces at discounted prices. Approval of a rental application requires the written consent of the studio teacher. Rental applications, the signing of contracts, and payment of rent will be handled according to the current holiday schedule of the Economics Office. Appointments for processing rental applications can be made via email at eo@favu.vut.cz.
- The Student Affairs Office and the International Office will be closed from 1 July to 4 August 2026 (inclusive). From 5 August to 31 August 2026, office hours are set for every Wednesday from 10:00 to 12:00. In urgent cases, the Student Affairs Office or the International Office may be contacted by email (studijni@favu.vut.cz) to arrange a personal meeting outside the specified timeframe.
