Brno University of Technology receives the highest rating in research evaluation
Brno University of Technology (BUT) achieved the highest rating, A, in the national evaluation of research organisations under Methodology 2017+. In the second five-year cycle, BUT improved its rating and confirmed its position among the best research universities in the country. The result is of fundamental importance not only in terms of prestige, but also for the University’s funding. More information is available here.
The Faculty of Fine Arts also made a significant contribution to the University’s overall success. In the evaluation of Module 3, which focuses on the quality and societal relevance of research and its outputs, FaVU improved from a C rating for the period 2014–2018 to the highest rating, A, for the period 2019–2023. The International Evaluation Panel particularly appreciated the Faculty’s substantial development, the societal impact of its research and creative activities, its public communication of research, and its ability to respond to recommendations from the previous evaluation (see more).
