Tristan Gac – NO FATE
17 June – 22 July 2026
opening: 17 June 2026, 18:00
curators: Noemi Purkrábková a Jiří Sirůček
Galerie FaVU, Pekařská 436/78, Brno (Distillery)

No Fate is a solo exhibition by Brussels-based artist Tristan Gac. It showcases a new body of work in which coloured pencil drawings meet futuristic frames and bas-reliefs. Taking inspiration from the scene of Sarah Connor’s iconic nightmare in Terminator 2, the exhibition centres on flowers amidst a backdrop of doom. The pieces capture the fleeting moment of catastrophe and its despairing aftermath, perpetuating the visual imagery of a science fiction-like apocalypse.
As is typical of Tristan Gac's work, the project brings together digital composition and physical craftsmanship, translating 3D-modelled environments into a lived space with sensitivity. Merging technological precision with organic forms, the installation unfolds as a still life of a not-so-futuristic post-blast landscape haunted by a latent threat.
The project is realised with the financial support of the Statutory City of Brno and the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.
