FFA SUMMER SCHOOLS 2026: Summer School of Graphic Arts in Nature, applications open until 26 July 2026
FFA Summer Schools offer an opportunity to spend part of your summer creatively. Through these summer schools, you will learn about artistic techniques, develop your creative skills, and meet interesting people. FFA Summer Schools are open to the general public, beginners with an interest in and passion for art, as well as those interested in future study at art schools, who can familiarize themselves with the FFA environment and use the summer schools as part of their preparation for entrance exams.
SUMMER SCHOOL OF GRAPHIC ARTS IN NATURE
This summer school is intended for the general public with an interest in experimental printmaking and working in the landscape. During the three-day course, participants will take joint walks through the Svratka River valley (Pisárky, Jundrov, Komín), during which they will search for and collect materials suitable for creating prints. These materials—plants, found objects, and even their own bodies—will then be used to create imprints on large-format textiles. In an outdoor (plein-air) setting, a collective graphic artwork inspired by the surrounding landscape will be created. The aim of the summer school is to offer a new perspective on printmaking and to develop group-based creative work arising from direct experimentation.

Lecturer profile:
Tereza Damcová is a performer, painter, illustrator, ceramic artist, sculptor, and poet. Her artistic motivation stems from a rich inner world of imagination, where reality, personal experience, and situational humor blend with playful fiction, materialized through fantastical beings. Around them, she develops distinctive narratives in which fairy-tale motifs mix with elements of horror and science fiction, and in which she herself becomes an important active participant. She graduated from FaVU VUT in Brno, Studio of Graphics under Margita Titlová Ylovsky. Since 2006, she has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions and has created performances and audiovisual projects: as Bubačka, later as Frída Kakao, and as a member of the audiovisual group Mateřídouška. Together with M. Kozelka, she created film animations/performances based on fairy tales (after his passing in 2017 she completed illustrations for Kozelka’s Book of Fairy Tales). She has collaborated with Prof. Neutrino, Moimir Papalescu, and others. Her works (especially drawings, screen prints, and puppets) are represented in private collections in the Czech Republic. She has also created large-scale wall drawings for interiors (Rožnov pod Radhoštěm).
