Position opening at FFA BUT: Leading teacher at the Photography Studio (Feb — July 2024); app. deadline 1 Dec 2023

The Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Brno University of Technology is offering an academic position on a full-time basis (1.0 FTE, with potential positions of Assistant, Senior Assistant, Associate Professor, or Professor) at the Photography Studio, starting from February 2024 for a fixed term (6 months – from February to July 2024) as a substitute for a teacher taking creative leave (sabbatical).

Job Description:

  • Collaborating in the pedagogical leadership of the Photography Studio and ensuring its smooth operation.
  • Offering constructive feedback on students' work.
  • Keeping abreast of developments in artistic education and integrating innovative techniques into teaching practice.
  • Participating in the artistic and research activities of the faculty.

Requirements:

  • Higher-education degree.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Teaching skills in the field of art.

The Application Must Include:

  • Structured CV with up-to-date contact details.
  • Overview of publication/exhibition/artistic activities.
  • Pedagogical concept of leadership of the studio for one semester.
  • Scan of diploma or other document confirming that the applicant received a higher-education degree.
