Extended Stay During the Completion of Graduation and Studio Works in the Summer Semester of the Academic Year 2025/2026
This decision regulates the operating hours of the buildings used by the Faculty of Fine Arts of Brno University of Technology (FFA BUT) during the period designated for the finalisation of graduation and studio projects in the summer semester of the academic year 2025/2026:
- For study purposes, specifically the completion and installation of graduation and studio projects, this decision authorises exceptional 24-hour operation of the faculty buildings for FFA BUT students from 18 May to 4 June 2026. Entry to the buildings is permitted until 22:00. From 22:00 to 06:00, only departures from faculty buildings via the reception desk in Building U1 or the reception desk at the BUT Kraví hora campus are allowed.
- For study purposes, specifically the completion and installation of bachelor’s projects, this decision permits students in the 4th year of the BA programmes in Fine Art and Design to stay in the faculty buildings daily from 6:00 to 24:00 during the period from 8 June to 18 June 2026.
- Staying in the faculty buildings outside the standard operating hours is permitted exclusively to members of the FFA academic community.
- The exceptional building operation (pursuant to paragraphs 1 and 2) applies only to students’ presence in studio rooms, the computer study room, video-editing rooms, the sound studio and the video studio.
- Users of the premises must comply with the Operating Rules applicable to buildings used by the FFA BUT.
- Students and staff are obliged to report both their arrival and departure to the faculty’s reception service in Building U1 or to the reception desk at the BUT Kraví hora campus. The reception staff are authorised to verify the identity of students.
- Studio teachers are obliged to ensure that work which may only be carried out under the supervision of a teacher or a technician is not performed during their absence.
- Students are further obliged, in particular, to: lock studio rooms properly upon leaving; close windows and switch off lights; refrain from allowing third parties who are not members of the academic community to enter the buildings; refrain from sleeping on the premises; work with regard to personal safety, preferably in pairs when present in the buildings during night-time hours; and ensure that the premises are kept in order and safeguarded against damage during extended operating hours.
