Zuzana Jakalová at the Annual Conference of the Association for Art History at the University of York
At the Annual Conference of the Association for Art History, which took place at the University of York from 9 to 11 April 2025, Zuzana Jakalová from FFA BUT presented her paper "Bad Weeds Grow Tall: Self-Care Culture and Aesthetics of Protest in the Work of Kata Mach", which was selected from hundreds of submissions from around the world from a public open call and was presented as part of the panel "Being Present: Art, Work and Wellness" (more information about the panel and the paper can be found here).The annual conference of the Association for Art History (the largest professional organisation of art historians) is the most prestigious art history gathering in the UK, bringing together the most contemporary of international research and critical discussion on art history and visual culture each year.
The working trip was supported by FFA BUT mobility programme and the Excellence Programme BUT.
