The third annual festival Lektvar will focus on the theme of landscape & open call for game project presentations
The game art festival Lektvar [in English "Potion"] takes place from April 10 to 12, 2026, and for the first time will be held at Kino Art in Brno. The third edition of the festival, annually organized by the Faculty of Fine Arts of Brno University of Technology, expands beyond its original focus on student work. It opens up to all developers, studios, and independent creators who want to create and seek inspiration at interdisciplinary intersections. “Lektvar is, for us, a once-a-year place where we aim to connect game creation with other artistic disciplines. We welcome everyone who wants to talk about games as a natural part of cultural life,” says Natálie Konečná, the festival director. The main theme of this year’s edition is landscapes, and the festival will offer visitors lectures, workshops, exhibitions, and guided walks in and around Brno. The detailed daily program will be published during March. An open call for game projects is also running until March 10, 2026. Developers and their teams may submit digital or board games, as well as artworks that use game principles. Selected projects will become part of a showcase of original Czech work and will be presented at the festival.
Admission to the festival is free. Accreditation can already be created at www.festivallektvar.cz.
