The reason for these cinema projections is a common experience of perceiving the selected films by the creators who (in the right time) occupied the bordering zones of nobody, thus causing interesting collisions in the field of established modes of perception. These two-hour projections will not be limited by any genre or techniques (they can be absolute films, videographic essays, trans films, etc.) which will help to understand the connections between the film with moving pictures in general and other kinds of art. We will show films reflecting areas of fine arts, experimental films, cult films, as well as “misty pictures”.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

credit: essay (2 normed pages) on a settled topic
70% attendance, active participation on the seminars.

Aims

To soften aesthetic sensitivity to different forms of a moving picture. To learn perceptiveness to differences between various modes of “seeing”. To complete the general view and contexts (with the stress on the necessity to percieve things rather than to recognize and categorize them). Experiences from “the only story of film” — i.e. also from the projection of those films which often remained unnoticed.
