Continuous assessment: essays, tests, papers , general test at the B1 level at the end of the semester.

There are none. However, we recommend that students have obtained credits from any Intermediate English course at FaVU in 2009/10; those students who have not had any English course at FaVU are obliged to take the placement test and score between 80 - 110 points in order to be able to enroll the course.

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations..

Students will write 1 - 3 short assignments during the semester, including the potential rewrites recommened by the course teacher - these will not be classified.
Final test mapping the knowledge of grammar and vocabulary from the units we have covered during the semester plus the assigned reading.
Students who will not have handed in the written assignments (even though they passed the final test) will not be classified.
The texts assigned for homework will only be submitted via the given ftp.
Students have to register their exam dates through the Apollo system.
Those who faill to register will not be classified.
Those who register and will not attend the exam without a prior 24-hour written notice will get an F.
Students are entitled for one regular and two resit exam dates.
