Digital game and game cabinet Library for the Moravian Library
The Game Media Studio FFA has created a digital game and game cabinet called Library for the Moravian Library in Brno. It is an action game for one to three players. Players are tasked with voting on the fate of their "digital" library—a messenger character brings players various proposals that add POPULARITY, KNOWLEDGE, and FINANCES statistics to their library. These statistics change the appearance of the library itself - popularity results in higher attendance (number of monks on the top floor), knowledge results in more books on the shelves, and finances result in a more opulent environment. Proposals are sent through the messenger by well-known authors/book characters - the proposals are stylized to reflect their philosophy or work. Proposals are sometimes beneficial to the library, sometimes not. If any statistic drops to a minimum, the game ends. Players vote using the messenger himself - by pushing him towards the red door (NO) or the green door (YES). It is both a voting game and a dynamic, digital version of Air Hockey. Players can cooperate or compete with each other, depending on their decision.
The game and cabinet were first presented to the public at the Science and Technology Festival at the Brno Expo Center.
