Vice-Dean for Scientific Research and Quality Assurance

  • Area of responsibility: coordination of the faculty's scientific research activities; preparation of internal regulations, standards, strategic and development intents and their updates in the areas of scientific research and quality; ensuring related activities in the area of faculty evaluation (in cooperation with the Vice-Dean for Study Affairs and the Vice-Dean for Artistic Research and Publication Activity); coordination of HR Award activities and Open Science policy at faculty level; coordination and control of fulfillment of research and development projects including specific research projects and relevant operational program projects; organizing competitions to support R&D results (in cooperation with the Vice-Dean for Artistic Research and Publication Activity); coordination of activities in preparation of professional conferences and seminars organized by the faculty; guaranteeing the agenda of habilitation and professorship proceedings; coordination of data insertion and control of data entered from the field of R&D into the university information system (in cooperation with the FFA Project Support Office); communication and dissemination of information in the area of one's responsibility. Methodically manages the FFA Project Support Office and coordinates the faculty's cooperation with the Creative Development Office & the Department of Project Support and Knowledge Transfer of Brno University of Technology.

  • Vice-Deans, in collaboration with the university management, the Dean, the Faculty Bursar, and responsible faculty staff, mainly ensure the following areas: compliance with legal regulations related to higher education institutions (especially laws no. 111/1998 Coll. and no. 130/2002 Coll.) and relevant government decrees and resolutions and internal regulations and norms of the university and faculty; evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of the faculty's internal regulations and norms, processing and submitting proposals for their amendments; fulfilling the strategic intent of the faculty and, within their area of responsibility, preparing proposals for its update; fulfilling decisions, directives and instructions of the Dean (and their control within their scope); active participation in the Dean's advisory bodies; creation and management of advisory committees within their jurisdiction; organizational and content securing of academic ceremonies; creation of materials for the faculty's presentation materials in connection with their office.
