Open Call for a One-Year Residency at the Kraví hora Studios for 1–2 FFA Graduates, app. deadline 15 June 2026
Open Studios Art Hub, in cooperation with the Faculty of Fine Arts of Brno University of Technology (FFA BUT), announces an open call for the one-year studio residency “Open Studios Brno Incubator” located in Barrack 24 on the Kraví hora campus of BUT for 1–2 FFA BUT recent graduates.
The residency will take place from 1 November 2026 to 30 October 2027. Please submit your applications by Monday, 15 June 2026 (inclusive) via the Google Form at https://forms.gle/41nfCSFAVCmXoi7a7. The results will be announced by the end of June 2026.
The Open Studios Art Hub Incubator is a one-year residency programme intended for FFA BUT graduates. The faculty collaborates on its operation, co-funding and promotion. Selected artists may use the studio space on the BUT Kraví hora campus free of charge for one year. In addition, residents have the opportunity to present their work to leading specialists, gallerists, theorists and curators within the Studio Visits programme and the Open Studios Brno open-studio festival. The residency also includes participation in an educational programme focused on professional skills, pricing, legislation, entrepreneurship in art and building a sustainable career.
Requirements Applicants must be recent graduates (2024–2026) of any FFA BUT master’s studio, complete the online application form, submit a portfolio of their work and demonstrate motivation to pursue further creative practice.
What we offer The selected applicant will receive, free of charge for one year, a studio of approximately 50 m² in the creative hub Ateliéry Kraví hora. Through the Open Studios platform, they will have the opportunity over the course of the year to become better acquainted with the Brno and wider art scenes, as well as with curators and gallerists whom we will regularly invite to the studio. Their work will be promoted through artist talks, the Open Studios Brno festival and other activities organised by the platform. The residency commences on 1 November 2026.
Our expectations Active involvement, participation in Open Studios events and a presentation of the work produced during the residency.

Open Studios Brno Incubator – a residency platform supporting the career development of emerging artists. The residency operates as a collaboration between Open Studios Art Hub and FFA BUT and supports the development of artistic personalities shortly after graduation.
