Workshop with Oskar Felber, 7 Oct 2026 at 17:00 at Galerie FaVU
We invite you to Idle Hands, a workshop with artist Oskar Felber, taking place on 7 October 2026 at 17:00 at Galerie FaVU (Pekařská 436/78, Brno). During the workshop, we will explore the aesthetics of 20th-century animated films and imagery associated with childhood, pop culture, and personal nostalgia. Together, participants will create a large-scale monochrome painting, with each person contributing their own interpretation of nostalgia. Oskar Felber’s painting practice stems from a fascination with the pre-Y2K visual culture of moving images, video games, and comics, drawing actively on this iconic pop culture. At the same time, he works with personal mythology, ranging from nostalgia and melancholy to joy. These returns to the past and personal associations serve as a way of illustrating everyday situations and feelings. The workshop is part of the accompanying programme of the current exhibition Godly Tiller.
Capacity is limited. Reserve your spot here (workshop will be held in Slovak).
