Symposium Rooted Everywhere – connecting FFA students and alumni
opencall deadline: 15 April 2026
date of the symposium: 7–20 September 2026
We are pleased to announce an open call for the fourth edition of the art symposium Rooted Everywhere, organized by the Faculty of Fine Arts at Brno University of Technology in collaboration with the všuderajče collective. The main aim of the symposium is to connect current students and alumni of FFA, to encourage mutual exchange, and to create space for discussion, collaboration, and collective creation. More information about previous editions and the collective can be found on website and Instagram. The symposium will take place in the post-industrial complex Distillery (Pekařská 78, Brno) from 7 September to 20 September, 2026. During the first week, the symposium itself will take place, with time dedicated to collective creation and collective sharings among participants. In the following week, the exhibition will open with a vernissage, after which it will remain open to the public for the rest of the week.
Within this open call, it is possible to apply either as an already formed group or as an individual with a preliminary concept or idea that you would like to develop during the symposium. Based on the submitted concepts, we will be able to connect you with other participants according to shared themes and interests.
Detailed information about the application conditions, selection criteria, and the overall concept of this year’s edition can be found in the application form.
You can apply until 15 April 2026.
