Weekend Screen Printing Courses for the Public (February – May)
The Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA BUT) is offering Saturday courses focused on screen printing. During this one-day course, participants will learn the basics of screen printing and have the opportunity to print on T-shirts, fabric, or paper of their choice. By the end of the course, participants will know everything they need to work independently. They will first prepare a design, either hand-drawn or created digitally. They’ll learn how to prepare their design using software such as Photoshop, Inkscape, PhotoGenia, or GIMP. They will also explore other stencil preparation techniques—such as drawing with ink or markers, scratching, blocking the screen with foil, collage, and more. The course covers the full screen printing process, including coating the screen with photosensitive emulsion, exposing the design using a UV unit, and properly washing out the screen.
The course is also suitable for children aged 10 and up when accompanied by a parent. After completing the course, participants may continue to use the screen printing workshop by prior arrangement.

Duration of each course: 8 teaching hours
Course content is the same for all dates. The course fee includes all materials and art supplies.
