Tomu, jak, proč a z jakých pozic probíhala tato konstrukce mýtu, se věnuje zadní část knihy, kam byly vybrány klíčové texty představující postupné upevňování i narušování Kotěrova mýtu v české architektonické historiografii. Výběr sedmnácti textů z let 1922–1972 je doplněn tím, jak ve své publicistické činnosti konstruoval svůj obraz sám Jan Kotěra. Jakkoli nebyl nadšeným publicistou, ve svých textech z let 1900–1922 představil některá teoretická východiska své architektonické tvorby, ale současně v nich upevňoval názorové pozice a mocenskou síť, kterou kolem sebe vytvářel nebo se do ní včlenil.

The issues of how, why and from what positions the construction of the myth occurred along with the key texts representing the gradual consolidation and disruption of Kotěra’s myth in Czech architectonic historiography can be found towards the end of the book. The selection of seventeen texts written in 1922–1972 comes with the description of how Jan Kotěra himself built his image in his writings. Although he was not an avid writer, his texts published in 1900–1922 illustrate some of the theoretical bases of his architectonic work, yet he consolidated his opinions and a network of power he created or became part of.
