Předkládaná studie se věnuje dosud nezpracovanému angažmá významného představitele československé meziválečné architektury a bytové kultury Vladimíra Grégra v Hradci Králové. Text je zaměřen na návrhy a realizaci interiéru bytu soukromého zadavatele Ing. Vladimíra Kazdy. Studie rekonstruuje přípravy realizace interiérového návrhu s využitím korespondence mezi architektem a klientem a dochovaných detailních návrhů jednotlivých nábytkových kusů a jejich skladby v interiéru. Pro interpretaci Grégrova návrhu autoři považují za podstatné seznámit čtenáře i s kulturním habitem a společenským statusem objednavatele i s detaily o výrobci, který vtiskl interiéru jeho materiální kvalitu. Cílem studie je zodpovědět otázku, v čem byl v prostředí Hradce Králové i v díle Vladimíra Grégra návrh interiéru bytu Vladimíra Kazdy jedinečný a jak se v něm odrážel vkus klienta.

The presented study deals with the hitherto unprocessed engagement of an important representative of Czechoslovak interwar architecture and housing culture, Vladimír Grégr, in Hradec Králové. The text is focused on the design and implementation of the interior of the apartment of the private client Ing. Vladimir Kazda. The study reconstructs the preparations for the implementation of the interior design using the correspondence between the architect and the client and the preserved detailed designs of individual furniture pieces and their composition in the interior. For the interpretation of Grégr's proposal, the authors consider it essential to acquaint the reader with the cultural habit and social status of the customer as well as with the details of the manufacturer who imprinted the material on its interior with its material quality. The aim of the study is to answer the question of how the interior design of Vladimír Kazda's apartment was unique in the environment of Hradec Králové and in the work of Vladimír Grégr, and how it reflected the client's taste.
