Original Abstract

Ladislav Zikmund-Lender se v následující recenzi na výstavu Cruising Pavilion: Architecture, Gay Sex and Cruising Culture ve stockholmské galerii ArkDes zaměřil na otázku, jak se strategie hledání bezpečného sexuálního kontaktu mezi muži propisuje do veřejného a poloveřejného prostoru. Jednotlivá díla na výstavě se vyjadřují jak k architektuře navázané na tyto situace, tak k represi LGBTQ+ menšin. Celkový koncept přehlídky vyplývá z loňského benátského bienále architektury, jehož zastřešujícím tématem byl FREESPACE (volný či svobodný prostor).

English abstract

Ladislav Zikmund-Lender in the following review of the Cruising Pavilion: Architecture, Gay Sex and Cruising Culture at ArkDes Gallery in Stockholm focused on how the strategy of seeking safe sexual contact between men translates into public and semi-public space. Individual works at the exhibition address both the architecture linked to these situations and the repression of LGBTQ + minorities. The overall concept of the show stems from last year's Venice Biennale of Architecture, whose overarching theme was FREESPACE.
