Open Day at the Faculty of Fine Arts BUT, Wednesday 22 Oct 2025, 13:00–18:00

If you are interested in experiencing what it is like in the school's studios during operation, seeing facilities, and meeting teachers and students, we invite you to the Open Day at FFA, on Wednesday, 22 October 2025.

Programme:

  • 13:00–18:00
    Visits to studios with the possibility of consultations, access to the departments, workshops, and the library (Úvoz 33 + Kraví hora)
  • 13:00–15:00
    Possibility to consult the requirements of the e-application at the Student Affairs Office (building U1, Úvoz 33)
  • 14:00
    Guided tour of the faculty buildings and facilities (Úvoz 33), meeting point in the courtyard in front of building U1
  • 16:00
    Guided tour of the faculty buildings and facilities (Kraví hora), meeting point at the reception (Rybkova 23)

  • 10:00–18:00
    Vegýna (building no. 11, Kraví hora, Rybkova 23)
    Vegýna is vegan and for everyone. You can look forward to great food, drinks, and pleasant company.
  • 13:00–18:00
    Moomin Heavy Core Power Workout – opening of an exhibition of student works from the Painting Studio 3 (building no. 9, Kraví hora, Rybkova 23)
  • 15:00–20:00
    Open FFA Gallery, exhibition Under The Weather – Tereza Kalousová, Šimon Chlouba (Pekařská 78)
  • 18:30
    Lecture by Madina Tlostanova – The decolonial turn in art: pro et contra (Galerie TIC, Radnická 4)

Due to reconstruction, the faculty is temporarily relocated to the Údolní (entrance from Úvoz 33) and Kraví hora (Rybkova 23) campuses. Complete information can be found here.

How to get here?
Part of the faculty is located in the very center of Brno, at Úvoz 33. From the main train station, you can get here by tram no. 12 (towards Technologický park), changing at Šilingrovo náměstí (bus x4, towards NC Královo Pole) and getting off at the Tvrdého stop. From other parts of Brno, you can get to FaVU by trolleybus no. 25 and 26 (you can find connections here).
The second part of the faculty is temporarily located at Kraví hora (Rybkova 23). You can walk there from the Údolní campus in about 10 minutes, or take the bus to the Náměstí míru stop (bus x4, direction NC Královo Pole).
