Tamara Spalajković received the Josef Hlávka Award

Tamara Spalajković, a doctoral candidate and assistant in the Department of A/V Technology at the Faculty of Fine Arts, has received the Josef Hlávka Award. This distinction is presented to talented researchers under the age of 33 in recognition of outstanding academic and scientific achievement. The award ceremony took place on 16 November 2025 at the Hlávka estate in Lužany.

The Hlávka Foundation is the oldest Czech institution of its kind dedicated to supporting culture, the arts, education, and science. The Josef Hlávka Award is conferred annually, on the nomination of university rectors, to students and graduates of Prague’s public universities, the Brno University of Technology, and to young researchers of the Czech Academy of Sciences. The dean’s nomination is subsequently approved by the university leadership. The award comprises a diploma and a financial prize granted by the Endowment of Josef, Marie, and Zdeňka Hlávková. The ceremony traditionally takes place each November at Josef Hlávka’s château in Lužany and is attended by leading figures in Czech science.

Previous recipients from the Faculty of Fine Arts include doctoral candidates Martina Růžičková and Andreas Gajdošík.
