Extended Stay During the Completion of Studio Works in the Winter Semester of the Academic Year 2025/2026
This decision regulates the operating hours of the buildings used by the Faculty of Fine Arts of Brno University of Technology (FFA BUT) during the period designated for the finalisation of studio and graduation projects in the winter semester of the academic year 2025/2026:
- For study purposes, specifically the completion and installation of studio work, this decision authorises exceptional 24-hour operation of the faculty buildings for FFA BUT students from 7 January to 22 January 2026. Entry to the buildings is permitted until 22:00. From 22:00 to 06:00, only departures from faculty buildings via the reception desk in Building U1 or the reception desk in the BUT Kraví hora campus are allowed.
- Staying in the faculty buildings outside the standard operating hours is permitted exclusively to members of the FFA academic community.
- The exceptional building operation (pursuant to paragraph 1) applies only to students’ presence in studio rooms, the computer study room, video-editing rooms, the sound studio and the video studio.
- Students and staff are required to minimise light pollution within the technical capabilities of each building (e.g. by shading windows) and to reduce noise between 20:00 and 08:00 (e.g. by keeping windows closed).
- Users of the premises must comply with the Operating Rules applicable to buildings used by the FFA BUT.
- Students and staff are obliged to report both their arrival and departure to the faculty’s reception service in Building U1 or to the reception desk at the BUT Kraví hora campus. The reception staff are authorised to verify the identity of students.
- Studio teachers are obliged to ensure that work which may only be carried out under the supervision of a teacher or a technician is not performed during their absence.
- Students are further obliged, in particular, to: lock studio rooms properly upon leaving; close windows and switch off lights; refrain from allowing third parties who are not members of the academic community to enter the buildings; refrain from sleeping on the premises; work with regard to personal safety, preferably in pairs when present in the buildings during night-time hours; and ensure that the premises are kept in order and safeguarded against damage during extended operating hours.
