Při zkoumání tématu prehistorické Venuše se autorka řídila feministickými principy výzkumu, jak je formulovala Donna Haraway. Zvolila situovanou a ztělesněnou perspektivu a zaměřila se na konkrétní okamžik v její biografii: narodila se a vyrůstala v domě asi 200 m od místa, kde byla nalezena prehistorická Venuše z Landeku (nazývaná také Venuše Petřkovická). Její původní hypotéza, která spekulativně spojovala vliv Venuše s převážně ženským složením rodiny autorky žijící v blízkosti kopce Landek, nebyla v rozhovorech potvrzena. Místo toho se projevila mimořádná povaha artefaktu, relativně realistického zobrazení mladé dívky. Tyto rysy podle zjištění autorky umožňují rozvoj empatického vztahu a inspirovaly respondenty k formulování jedinečných tezí. Autorka konfrontuje rozhovory vedené hlavně s ženskou částí své rodiny s odbornou studií o nálezech na Landeku od prof. Jiřího Svobody a s feministicky orientovanou teorií o prehistorických bohyních od archeoložky Marije Gimbutasové.

In exploring the topic of the prehistoric Venus, the author has followed the feminist principles of research as enunciated by Donna Haraway. She chose a situated and embodied perspective, and focused on a specific moment in her biography: she was born and grew up in a house about 200 m from the site there the prehistoric Venus of Landeck (also called Venus of Petřkovice) was found. Her initial hypothesis, which specula - tively linked the influence of Venus to the predominantly female com - position of the author‘s family living near the Landek hill, could not be confirmed in the interviews. Instead, the extraordinary nature of the artefact, a relatively realistic depiction of a young girl, became apparent. These features, according to the author‘s findings, allow for the devel - opment of an empathetic relationship and inspired the respondents to formulate unique theses. The author confronts the interviews conducted mainly with the female part of her family with the expert study on the findings at Landek by Prof. Jiří Svoboda and with the feminist-oriented theory on prehistoric goddesses by archaeologist Marija Gimbutas.
