FFA SUMMER SCHOOLS 2026: Summer School of Painting, Applications Open Until August 18 and August 21, 2026

FFA Summer Schools offer an opportunity to spend part of your summer creatively. Through these summer schools, you will learn about artistic techniques, develop your creative skills, and meet interesting people. FFA Summer Schools are open to the general public, beginners with an interest in and passion for art, as well as those interested in future study at art schools, who can familiarize themselves with the FFA environment and use the summer schools as part of their preparation for entrance exams.

SUMMER SCHOOL OF PAINTING

The summer school is intended for both beginner and advanced participants, applicants to higher art education institutions, as well as enthusiasts of the painting medium. During the course, participants will work with tempera and oil painting based on a live model, including compositional and color solutions, as well as work with light and tonality. The course also focuses on exploring ways of speaking and thinking about painting through painting itself. The program will include consultations on participants’ existing artworks. The aim of the summer school is to familiarize participants with the formal foundations of painting through the classical genres of portrait and still life, and subsequently apply these insights to the personal work of each participant in a way that best supports their individual artistic intentions.
