Visiting Artist’s Studio / Ateliér hostující pedagožky
Vedoucí Ateliéru hostujícího pedagoga v zimním semestru 2021/2022 byla sochařka Zuzanna Czebatul.
Struktury a estetika moci zakotvené v politických ideologiích tvoří jádro práce Zuzanny Czebatul, která zkoumá mocenské vztahy pomocí artefaktů a dekorů. Jako sochařka se Czebatul zaměřuje na vizuální svůdnost současných a archaických objektů a architektonických prvků, stejně jako na jazyk interiéru a grafického designu. Umělkyně pomocí komparativní metodologie odhaluje příbuzenství a konflikty mezi nimi. Její tvorba je ovlivněna estetikou starověkých soch, moderními formami vystavování i klubovou kulturou devadesátých let.
Zuzanna Czebatul (* 1986, Miedzyrzecz/PL) žije a pracuje v Berlíně. V roce 2013 absolvovala Städelschule Frankfurt a poté navštěvovala program MFA na Hunter College v New Yorku jako Fulbright Fellow. Czebatul vytvořila samostatné výstavy v Synagogue de Delme; Městské galerii GGM1 Gdaňsk; CCA FUTURA Praha a CCA Zamek Ujazdowski Varšava. Letos budou její práce součástí TB14 Baltic Triennale; A7 Athénské bienále a Berlínské galerie. V červnu otevírá samostatnou výstavu v Kunstpalais Erlangen spolu s vydáním své první monografie.
Jednosemestrální výuka pod vedením zvaného zahraničního hosta nebo kolektivu pro vybrané zájemce z řad studentů (vč. stážistů) a absolventů FaVU, kterou fakulta zavedla od akademického roku 2019/2020. Ke studiu přijímá student(k)y bakalářského a návazného magisterského studia s výjimkou prvního ročníku bakalářského studia a (letních) semestrů, ve kterých studenti ukončují studium bakalářskou nebo diplomovou prací. Studium v Ateliéru hostujícího pedagoga má statut interní studijní stáže (místo domovského oborového ateliéru vybraní studenti pracují a konzultují s hostujícím pedagogem). Výuka probíhá v angličtině. Program Ateliéru hostujícího pedagoga nebrání studujícím v plnění ostatních předmětů jejich studijního plánu.
Course Synopsis
Monuments are not only an important part of the culture of remembrance, but are also erected for future generations. Nevertheless, they are often destroyed, become victims of wars, vandalism and political upheavals. While currently statues of colonizers are falling, Contemporary Art in public space is increasingly becoming a soft location factor in city marketing. The noble claim of 'art for all' no longer applies; rather, art functions as an instrument of homogenization and staging in the capitalist interest of the ruling growth coalition. Against this background, we want to look into the context of urban development/new urbanity, activism within the arts, and the function of art institutions. Using the theories of Pierre Bourdieu and Henri Lefebvre, we will investigate what develops new criteria of evaluation, which are then applied to different art projects in order to open up a perspective for the creation of free spaces and thus complement the prevailing paradigm of the city.Predispositions

Structure
Monthly meetings will span over one week. We will discuss texts, watch films, look at different artistic positions and debate, accompanied by excursions to public art in Brno. If students are interested, we can think of a collective project in public space at the end of the semester. A three-day excursion to the german cities Erlangen, Chemnitz and Berlin. We will look at student's work in both group crits and individual crits. This is unrelated to the semester subject.Schedule
